OBITUARY
* MR R. W. WHITELAW
Mr Robert William Whitelaw, who died at the Riccarton Racecourse recently,’ was the eldest son of Mr and Mrs R. Whitelaw, and was born in Spreydon, and educated at the Halswell School. After leaving school he worked at the Central Dairy Company, Addington, and for the last 25 years had been on the staff of P. Burke and Company, Bush Inn, Riccarton. A large number of persons attended the funeral, and wreaths were sent by the following:—Messrs P. Burke and Company, Ltd., the racecourse barmen of P. Burke and Company, the waitresses of Messrs P. Burke and Company, Ltd., the staff, Bush Inn Hotel, and Bakehouse. employees of Freezing Works at Islington, the Hornby Rugby League Football Club, and many friends and relatives.
