The Canterbury table tennis championships began last night with the C grade of the boys’ singles. Results: — B Grade.—First round; Badcock beat P. Pitt, Graham beat Nixon, Flint beat Coman, Cook beat Macefield, Borough beat Andrews, Shelley beat Stead, Borman (Ranglora) beat Pocock, Leahey beat Rhodes. Second roundßadcock beat Graham, Flint beat Cook, Borough beat Shelley, Borman beat Leahey. Semi-final: Flint beat Badcock, Borough beat Borman. Doubles —First round: Graham and Leahey beat Yee Ham and Gin Kee Cho, Chew Lee and Chang beat Coman and Macefield, Flint and Badcock beat S.' and R. Loy.
