Gaming: Charges.—-After a police raid on one day of the Christchurch races, several persons were before the Magistrate's Court in Feilding yesterday on charges of keeping premises as common gaming houses. Noel Hurdle, who had several previous convictions, was fined £IOO, his wife, a first offender, was fined £SO, C. J. Simms, a first offender, was fined £4O, A. E. Hosken, who had several previous convictions, was -fined £IOO, and Cecil Saunders, with one previous conviction, was fined £9S.—P.A.
