PEOPLE LIVE HERE.—AIt but one of the houses shown on this page were found unsatisfactory as human dwellings by the City Councils Housing Survey undertaken in 1937, five of them were recommended for immediate demolition. But all these houses are still occupied, some by adults alone and some by adults and children. They are in a district within 10 walk of Cathedral square-and some of them -have'been bought to make room for new industrial and other buildings. Tenants who have notice to quit say that they are unable to find suitable houses 1 : ' , ,■ v elsewhere.
