SOLDIERS’ PARCELS

Sir,—On a recent visit to police headquarters, I was . astounded to see, spread out on view goods of all kinds, which had represented parcels for the sons of the Christchurch people. I left there with the firm resolve to send no more parcels to . our son abroad on active service. I was informed that the game had been, going on since war began. No wonder that many of the boys when writing, as our son did in a letter'received last week, say that no parcels had been received. We have decided to devote the parcel money to extra bank remittance, which at least will leave here «nd take its chance. But when it does not even leave here, after tjie loving care expressed in the packing and sending of a parcel, then we decided to cease sending.—Yours, etc., DISGUSTED. August 4, 1941.
