BRITISH ULTIMATUM UNANSWERED JERUSALEM, July 10. It is authoritatively stated that by noon to-day General Dentz, the Vichy High Commissioner in Syria, had not replied to the British ultimatum for the surrender of Beirut. Fighting is continuing. TERMS FOR ARMISTICE IN SYRIA ANKARA, July 10. The Syrian armistice terms are reported to include the following:—All arms, ammunition, aeroplanes, and warships to be handed over to the British authorities; the Vichy forces to be either repatriated or join the Free French;, Britain to guarantee that no proceedings will be taken against Vichy army # personnel; all Italians and Germans to be handed over to the British. B.A.F. RAIDS ’ LONDON, July 10. Bombers of the Royal Air Force were seen crotsing the Straits of Dover 10-day, and later distant explosions were heard across the Channel. A concentrated attack was made last night on a town in the Rhineland and on war industries and communications at Osnabrueck. Muenstor, which has been repeatedly attacked in the last week, and the docks at Ostend, were among other bombed.
