(P.S.S.) WELLINGTON, June 22. The weather forecast for Canterbury, issued at 5 p.m. by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, and dealing with the 24 hours following the time of issue, is as follows: — Light to moderate north-easterly winds, later freshening. Apart from morning fog or light drizzle on the coast, weather fair to fine and temperatures cool. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is:— Moderate easterly winds. Weather fair to fine and cool.
CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER
The week-end in Christchurch was fine. On Saturday there was a light south-west breeze. After a sunny morning, the afternoon was mainly overcast. Yesterday was brilliantly sunny, with a very light south-west breeze in the morning. The afternoon was calm. At 1 o’clock this morning the sky was clear, with a very light Li south-west breeze.
