(P.A.) NEW. PLYMOUTH, June 20.: . Fire which destroyed the home Mr A. Balmer; of Pohangina,-was attended by the sudden death of Mr James Andrew Nairn, aged 70, of. Kohuratahi,. Taranaki, who, while pass;: Jng saw .the flames and rushed-inside and warned two children, He collapsed and died. Mr Balmer was away at the time. HIT BY TRACTOR Peter While, aged 55, of Wilson,street, Islington; was admitted to the Public Hospital .yesterday with an injury to a shoulder. He was standing behind a tractor when it was’in reverse gear, and was struck 1 by the machine when it moved backward. 1 • , ' ,
