CO OPERATION IN DEFENCE
i CANBERRA, .June 19. In the House of Representatives last night the Labour leader (Mr J. Cur-> tin) advocated that Australia and New Zealand should exchange High Commissioners, .in view of their mutual interests in defence, i The Prime Minister (Mr R. G. Menzies) replied that this matter had been, discussed when he was passing ;thrbugh ; New Zealand, and had been under consideration for some time. The New Zealand Minister for Rational Service (the Hon. R. Semple) was in Canberra yesterday. He attended the War Cabinet, and exchanged views, with-, the Minister for the lArrfty (Mr P. C. Spender) on the requirements of the two countries.
