The scheme gave experience to the men. who had not taken part in field work before. During the afternoon Major D. S. Murchison, area commander, Captain E. H. Buckeridge. and the officers commanding each unit made a tour of inspection and expressed satisfaction with the scheme. In spite of the very bad weather, the Wednesday night parade was well attended. A lecture was given on apron and concertina barbed-wire entanglements. Some members of the unit nave undertaken to make scale models for practice in the future.
