MR PARLANE ON THE TRAMWAY BOARD
Sir,—So Mr Kitson has come to the assistance of his anonymous cobber ‘‘John Citizen.” Mr Kitson certainly has got the Herr Hitler mentality of mass attack and crowing over those defeated. One would have expected that Mr Kitson wouid have exhausted bis flow of sarcasm during the election period, as his speeches as reported during that time contained nothing else but carping criticism and sarcasm, and not one constructive idea. However, Mr Kitson will find that it takes more than sarcasm to reconstruct tram lines and make them like bowling greens and also to provide luxury cars to run on them. “John Citizen” remarked that they have a hard row to hoe and Mr Kitson will find this out as he gets more knowledge of tramway affairs.— * Yours, etc., E.
