"The problem of farm labour is becoming particularly acute as more young men are called for overseas service, and it is increasingly, clear that the Farmers' Union and other interested bodies will have to tap every available source of labour supply if production is to be maintained." said Mr A. B. Struthers, secretary • of the South Canterbury provincial executive of the Farmers’ Union, at the annual conference at Timaru to-day.
