CHAIRMANSHIP OF DALGETY AND COMPANY ♦ The superintendent for New Zealand of Dalgety and Company, Ltd., has received cabled advice from 'the company’s head office in London that the Hon. E. W. Parker, chairman of directors. because of advancing years, has notified his intention to retire from the board as from September 30. The board has appointed Major-General Sir John Davidson, K.C.M.G., to* be chairman as from’October 1 SOLDIERS REPORTED SAFE ♦ Advice has been received by friends or relatives that the following soldiers were safe and well after the evacuation of Greece:—Major J.
