MID-CANTERBURY LICENSING COMMITTEE
The members present at the annual meeting of the Mid-Canterbury Licensing Committee, at Leeston yesterday, were: Messrs H. A. Young, S.M. (chairman) E. B. Newton, B. McNamara, Vf. Johnston, and H. F. Nicol. A transfer of the licence of Methven Hotel from D. W. F. Quested to W. M. Wills was granted.,-and a publican’s licence issued 'tcriithe. latter. Renewals of licences were granted in other applications. In the case of the Railway Hotel, Rakaia, the application was adjourned for three months to enable certain work to be done in the meantime the licensee, R. J. Scholium, being granted a quarterly licence.
