OPERATION FROM MONDAY “Some persons seem to be in .doubt as to the inauguration of the pharmaceutical benefits under the Social Security Act,” says a statement issued by the Canterbury Division of the Chemists’ Guild. “An announcement- from the. Minister for Health gives the date as Monday, May 5.' No chemist is entitled to supply any medicine and charge it to the fund before that date. We believe that the majority of chemists will operate under the contracts,. and all contracting pharmacies are entitled to supply those medicines covered by the scheme from 8.30 a.m. on Monday next. , “The public is asked to read carefully an advertisement in ‘the Press’ On Monday, whi;h will give further details. Prescriptions must be dated on or after Monday, May 6, to be supplied under the scheme.”
