TROTTING NOTES

From Southland Grown Peak, engaged in the mile saddle ’af Oamaru to-morrow, is an aged gelding by Adioo Guy from a Four Chimes mare,/and is trained at Gore by,.-J. Thomas. His best performance this season was in the Southland Handicap at the Invercargill Trotting Club's meeting, when he finished second to Pleasant Guy in the Southland Handicap. He recorded 4min 31 4*ssec for two miles, a good performance on the Invercargill course. At the Southland meeting in January he won the Oreti Trot Handicap, of a mile and five furlongs, in 3min 48see. Novices at Amberley Conflagrate, engaged in the Teviot* dale Handicap at Amberley to-morrow, is a four-year-old colt by Jack Potts —Alone, and Is trained by C. S. Donald.
