IMPORTS OF TYRES AND TUBES
RELAXATION OF RESTRICTIONS A partial relaxation of restrictions on the importation of pneumatic rubber tyres and inner tubes has been announced in a statement received by .the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce. “It has been, decided,” the statement announces, “to grant an additional’ allocation for imports to the extent of 25 pier cent, of the value of imports of such .goods from air sources in 1938. -ijjich ’ allocation will be available for imports from the United Kingdom or other British;countries at the importer’s, ’discretion and for passenger or .truck tyres, on the understanding that, .within ; the , allocation, requirements of truck tyres' will; be provided for.- ■
