The following officers were elected at the annual rp'eeting of the Canterbury College Law Students’ Society: Patron, Mr Justice Northcroft; honorary presidents, Mr Justice Hunter, Messrs H. D. Acland, A. T. Donnelly, M. J. Gresson, A. S. Taylor, R. Twyneham, K. M. Gresson, G. S. Thomas, Dr. A. L.. Haslam. Dr. R. Hepburn, Messrs A. C. Brassington and J. K. Moloney; president, Mr J. S. Rumbold; honorary vice-presidents, all past presidents and Messrs J. N. Matson, G. C. Weston, and, Miss I. C. Wright: secretary, Mr J. W. Gordon; treasurer, Mr B. J. Drake; committee. Messrs R. K. Baker, P. K. H. Smyth, W. G. P. Cunningham, and R. S. Mackie; honorary auditor, Mr C. H. Perkins. Mr R. C. Saunders, who presided, said that the society could carry on during the war only with the vigorous support of all members. The meeting stood in silence as a mark of respect to Sergeant Pilot R. H. Clifford, who was killed in England last year.
