PIGEON FLYING
CANTERBURY CLUB EVENT The Canterbury Pigeon Flying Club concluded its 1941 young bird programme during the week-end, when J. E. V. Maxwell’s bird No. 409, won the Mina race, covering the distance of 65 miles 1575 yards in Ihr 31mln 46sec, winning for its owner the trophy for the best average velocity during the season. Fourteen owners entered 60 birds in this race. Results;—J, E. V. Maxwell’s No. 409, 1261 yards a minute; A. DuiTleld’s No. 276, 1259: M.
