WARNING ISSUED BY ASSIGNEE
NO APPEARANCE OF BANKRUPT A warning to a declared bankrupt, William John Oakleigh Turner, who failed to appear before a meeting of creditors yesterday, was given by the Official Assignee, Mr G. W. Brown. Mr Brown said that nothing had been heard from Turner, who was liable to appear for contempt of court. It was his duty to furnish the assignee with particulars of his liabilities to creditors. The meeting, which was attended by representatives of the State Advances Corporation, and S. F. Clark, Ltd. (building contractor), was afterwards adjourned. It was stated that Turner, who had been a cartage contractor at Kaitiina, owed Clark, Ltd., the sum of £l3O 9s 3d, and the State Advances Corporation £454 15s 3d on a property valued at about £6OO,
