AFTERNOON PARTY
SOLDIERS’ RELATIVES ENTERTAINED
Jellicoe Hall was crowded yesterday afternoon, when the Women’s Auxiliary of the Returned Soldiers’ Association entertained the wives, mothers, and sisters of men of the armed forces. It was a pleasant and friendly gathering, much enjoyed by the guests. _ The programme, arranged by Mrs F. E. Reeve, was as follows:—Piano duet. Mesdames J. Mason and F. E. Reeve; songs.’ Mrs Frank O’Brien. Mrs. E. H. Sheldon (nee Daisy Perry). Mrs Clarice Shaw. Miss M. E Price; violin solos, Miss Lily Robertson; ’cello solos, Miss Gwen Low; elocutionary items, Mrs L. H. Woodcock and Miss I, Woodcock: instrumental trio, Mrs, Reeve. Miss Robertson, and Miss Low. Mrs Reeve and Mrs W. E. Olds were the accompanists. Afternoon tea was served by the committee, who had the help of Mr D. W. Russell, president, and other members of the Returned Soldiers’ Association. Mrs W. S. Bean thanked Mrs Reeve and the other artists fpr the pleasure they had given their large audience.
