PLUMBERS* MEETING \ Details of emergency and alternativr • domestic water supplies were discussed, at a meeting of plumbers and plumbers, in conjunction with fh»' water ' committee of the Christchurch City Council. A scheme of water supply was agreed to, and the work to b# done by individuals was apportioned, - The scheme adopted provides that selected artestian wells be utilised M . a source of water for properties in th* immediate vicinity of the well toto, the laying of temporary pipelines xromj; the well to the street. While care ha»; r been taken to ensure that every well;, r in the city has been investigated the,:-, committee has announced that it would 1 appreciate advice from any property,: owner who has a good artesian well which has not been inspected by a city water inspector! \ A sub-committee was set up'to go. into the question of representation to the National Service parade on April, 26. , ' Most of the master plumbers, to Christchurch attended the meeting,which was presided over by Mr J. u. Carey, chairman of the water commit* tee of the City Council.
