OFFICIAL FORECASTS (P.S.S.) WELLINGTON, April 9. The weather forecast for Canterbury, issued at 5 p.m. by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, and dealing with the 24 hours following the. time of issue, is as follows: Moderate south-westerly winds, turning in places to easterly sea breezes. Weather fair to fine, but cold; Seas moderating. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is;— Light to moderate south-west-erly winds predominating. , Weather fair to fine, with slowly rising temperatures. Seas moderate. DOMINION The following is the forecast for the Dominion:— Weather becoming fair to fine almost generally. A few isolated showers still likely, however, on the Southland coast, and In (he northern portion of the Auckland Peninsula. Temperatures cold, but slowly rising. An anti-cyclone centred off the New South Wales coast extends across the north Tasman Sea and beyond New Zealand.
