Mr C. T.‘A sc bman was elected by the Board of Governors of Canterbury Agricultural College yesterday as their representative to the New Zealand School of Agriculture. Messrs E. A. Leary and G. Ridout have been, appointed Canterbury delegates to the annual conference at Wellington at Easter of the New Zealand Boot Trades Federation.

Captain H. G. Helmore, New Zealand Temporary Staff, has been appointed an Aide-de-Camp to the Governor-General.—P.A.. Mi 1 A. M. Fowler, accountant at the Christchurch branch of the National Bank of New Zealand, who has been appointed manager at the Oamaru branch, was entertained at lunch yesterday afternoon by the customers and staff of the bank. Mr A. E. Ackroyd, who presided, presented the guest with a pocket wallet containing a sum of money, and the best wishes of the staff were expressed by the manager, Mr R, A. Barnsdale.
