PIGEON RACING

The Canterbury Flying Pigeon Club conducted,two races during the week-end. The 'first was from Hundalee. ,The winnings bird. J. E. V. Maxwell’s. The second race was from Blenheim, only birds with special produce rings being eligible to compete. The winning bird, A. Bailey’s No. 64, flew the distance of 162 miles 44 yards in 3hr 44min 43sec.
