PHARMACEUTICAL BENEFITS
CHEMISTS’ DISCUSSION WITH MINISTER (P.A.) WELLINGTON, April 8. Representatives of chemists from all parts of New Zealand met the Minister for Health (the Hon. A. H. Nordnieyer) in conference to-day to discuss the proposed regulations dealing with pharmaceutical' benefits under the Social Security Act, and other matters relating to the provision of these benefits. Members of the conference later consulted with the Minister for Finance (the Hon. W. Nash). In an interview to-night, Mr Nordmeyer said that the conversations had been conducted in the most co-opera-tive spirit. It was hoped, after the Cabinet had had an opportunity of discussing certain matters that had been raised, that a scheme would be evolved satisfactory to all parties concerned.
