EXPULSION OF MR E. L. HILLS RECOMMENDED

A decision to recommend the national executive of the Democratic Labour Party to expel Mr E. L. Hills “for his indiscretion in going to__the newspapers” was made by the Canterbury provisional district council. on Tuesday night. Delegates also decided that the district council should disband and that a divisional council be formed. The motion recommending expulsion was carried by a large majority.
