Two outsandIng performances In- ‘this match, were •those of Deyell, opening batsman Id* Papanui, who scored 93. not out, and Hurst (Ranglora), who scored an attractive 38. Papanul made 174 (Deyell not out 83, R. W. Grant 14, Johnstone 11, Williams 27; Robertshaw one for 34 runs, Hurst three for 44, Schofield two for 17, Boyce two for 54). Ranglora made 79 (Hurst 38; Grlmshaw; four for 21, Deyell- two for 14, - Williams four for 18).
