EUCHRE PARTY AND DANCE AT HAESWELL
A well attended euchre party and dance was held at the Halswell Hall recently. The funds were for the Soldiers’ Welfare Committee. Frank Miller’s band supplied the music for the dances, and Mr Nelson Gardiner was master of ceremonies. Miss Joyce Kolkman played the extras. The Monte Carlo was won by Miss Shirley Robertson and partner, and Miss Brown and Mr Jack Burfitt were winners of the lucky spot. In the card room the euchre prises were won. by Mrs H. Sparks, Mrs'F. Sparks <2), Mr F. McDury, and Mr W. Wilson (2).
