AVON CLUB
The annual report of the Avon Rowing Club states that the club has had a Successful year. Membership is stated to stand at 115. compared with 111 last year. The account in the Christchurch Money Club stands at £2GS, more than oft-setting the bank overdraft of £IBO 8s 9d. The excess of assets over liabilities is shown at £1827 9s 2d. "During the coming season," the report stales, "our active list no doubt will be depleted from time to time. Therefore we must endeavour to kpep up our strength by encouraging young men to take up the sport."
