BULLER MINE WORKERS’ BALLOT
MR T. MUIR ELECTED AS REPRESENTATIVE
Mr T. Muir (Denniston) beat Mr J. Lavery (Stockton) in the election for the position of Buller district representative on the National Council of the United Mine Workers of New Zealand, by 481 votes to 238. The voting was as follows:— Ngakawau (Muir 73, Lavery 145); Denniston (279 and 48); Millerton (64 and 29); Seddonville (16 and 4); Charming Creek (35 and 7); Cascade (14 and 5).
