Mrs J. Cracroft Wilson presided over a good attendance of members at the monthly meeting of the Christchurch branch of the Plunket Society. The matron of the Lady King Karitanc Hospital reported that 25 babies had been admitted during the month, and 23 discharged. Seventeen mothers had been admitted to the mothercraft section and 18 had been discharged. Three pairs of premature twins had been admitted. Two clocks wore gratefully acknowledged from the Timaru Plunket Society. For the Plunket rooms. Nurse Allan reported as follows: —Pre-natal section; Expectant mothers interviewed for the first time. 45; return visits. 201; cases under observation, 169. Post-natal section: New baby cases, city and suburbs 162. outstations. 30. Visits paid by nurses to homes. 573. Visits to rooms; Central. 275 adults. 265 babies: suburban. 1592 adults. 1620 babies. Babies under supervision: 2504. Preschool section; New cases 19. visits to central rooms. 136: under supervision, 1186. The matron at Kantane Hospital appealed for* a dropside cot and nursery chair. ‘
