KAIAPOI LADIES’ CLUB
ANNUAL OPEN TOURNAMENT
The Kaiapoi Ladles’ Golf Club held its annual open tournament yesterday in perfect weather. Christchurch, Ruasley, Harewood, Amberley, Amur!, Waiukin, North Otago, Rangiora, and Kaiapoi Clues were represented. In tlie morning senior and junior stroke handicaps were Played, and the afternoon’s programme included a four-ball bogey match and a putting competition. . . The senior stroke handicap was won p> Mrs Duthie (Harewood), the junior stroke handicap by Mrs L, P. Hopkins (Kaiapoi on the count back, and the four-ball bogey match by Mrs W. Toomey and Mrs G Reid. The putting competition was won by Mrs O’Shea (Russley) with a card of 30.
The best scores were:— Senior Stroke Handicap—Mrs Duthie, E2 IB —74: Mrs D. Climie, 92, 15 —77; Mrs d’ McLean, 88, 11-77; Mrs E- A- Watkins, 94 14—80; Mrs R. H. Tait, 93, 12 81. Junior Stroke Handicap—Mrs L. P. Hopkins. 105. 32-73; Miss A Allington, 95, 22—73; Miss R. Aspinall, 94, 19—(5. Miss M. Pearson, 111, 34—77; Miss B. Tonkin, 99, 22—77; Mrs C. A. Wornall, 108, 28 Four-Ball Bogey—Mrs W. Toomey and Mrs G. Reid, 1 down; Mrs T. Armstrong and Mrs Benton Bell, 2 down; Mrs R. J. Smith and Miss R. Aspinall. 3 down; Miss A. Allington and Mrs W. G. Wylie, J down; Mrs N. Clemens and Mrs S. P. Godfrey, 3 down: Mrs D. McLean and Mrs M. Louisson, 4 down. HORORATA CLUB In an inter-club match with the Malvern Golf Club, played on Terrace Station enurse, Hororata, Malvern was beaten by Hororata. _____
