MOTHERS’ MEETING
ANNUAL REPORT PRESENTED
The annual report of the Mothers’ meeting of the Oxford Terrace Baptist Church, presented yesterday afternoon at the annual meeting of the Dorcas Society, stated that the meeting had a membership of 56. Once a month a missionary afternoon was held, and talks were given to enable the women to become belter acquainted with the work of missionaries.
The Christmas party for mothers and children held each year by the meeting had again been a great success, and had given much pleasure to the small guests and their parents. To assist the Patriotic Fund, a “bring and buy" sale had been held, and £2 13s had been realised.
Many members who had been ill during the year had been visited, and it was regretted that Mrs Newsome, owing to failing health, was no longer able, to attend meetings. Two mem-bers,-Mrs Thomas and Mrs Gibb, had died during the year.
