HOKITIKA BOROUGH COUNCIL’S MONTHLY MEETING
The monthly meeting of the Hokitika - Borough Council was held on Monday evening, Cr. A. R. Elcock (DeputyMayor) presiding in the absence of the Mayor. Mr H. M. Coulson and several other ratepayers and residents forwarded a prbtest against permission being granted for additional facilities for the storage of inflammable oils in quantity on the grounds that the dump provided by the Harbour Board can meet all requirements. It was decided to uphold the objections and that the application of the Railway Department in this con- , nexion be refused.
