OLD COLLEGIANS’ CLUB PLAY MAY CEASE FOR DURATION OF WAR Mr T. W. Tothlll has given notice of his intention to move at the annual meeting of the Old Collegians’ Cricket Club that because of the decrease in the number of active members, the club should cease to enter teams in the Canterbury Cricket Association’s competitions for the duration of the war. He proposes that club materials be stored until activities are resumed., , , , The motion is to be put before the annual meeting of the club on September 2. NEW ENTRIES FOR COMPETITIONS TRANSFER OF CLUBS FROM SUBURBAN GRADES The Canterbury Cricket Association will have two new entries for its competitions this season. They will be two old boys clubs, Christchurch West and Technical College, whose teams have previously competed under the Suburban Cricket Association. Christchurch West won the senior grade in the suburban competitions last year. The management committee of the Canterbury Cricket Association received a verbal application for affiliation from the Christchurch West Old Boys Club, and a written application from the Technical College Old Boys Club. It was decided to accept' both, the Christchurch West affiliation to be made in writing before it is confirmed.
