Statement by Vichy Authorities NO MENTION OF (Received August 1, 11 p.m.) NSW YORK, August 1, The Vichy correspondent of the “New York lathe's" states that the french MSvSI authorities claim the disposition of the French Fleet to be as follows: 1 1 In England: the battleships Paris ’(22,000 tons), Courbet (22,000 tons), one torpedo-boat, one dispatch beat, and several auxiliaries. _ _ •TAt Alexandria: the cruisers, Suffren, Duquesne, and Tourvilie (all io,ooo topi), the Duguay-Tfoum (*?249 tons), and the airdraft-carrier Seam (22,000 fOrls), At Casablanca: the battleship JeanS (36,000 tons), the destroyers teluck (mo tons), and the Ttiom- . pliant (2909 tons).
