TEMUKA Thera was a medium yarding of fat cattle at the Teinuka sale, The quality was the best for some time. Competition was keen and prices were firm at late rates. Prime steers made £ls 7s fid to £l7 7s Bd, medium £ll 7s fid to £l3 7s fid: extra prime heifers to £lB 2s 6d, prime £l2 12s fid to £l4 2s Bd, medium £lO to fill 7s fid; extra prime cows, £l4 17a fid to £ls 7s fid, prime £lO 2s Gd to £l2 17s Bd, light to medium £7 12s Gd to £9 12s Gd. Two races of fat sheep were forward and a fair proportion of the yarding comprised light and unfinished ewes. TINWALD There was a limited yarding of fat sheep at the Tinwaid stock sale yesterday. The quality of the lines offering was excellent,- however, and some high prices Were obtained. The market on the whole was firm, fat owes selling up to 33s lOd and fat wethers from 31s Id to 47s lod. The top price of the market was obtained by P. G. Rickard (Riverside), who sold five wethers at 47s lOd each, the highest price realised at Ashburton or Tinwaid this year. Another good price was reached by W.
