, WELLINGTON, July 23. A suggestion that the “Journal of Agriculture” should be distributed free to every farmer in the Dominion was made by Mr T. H. McCombs (Gpvernment, Lyttelton) when the estimates 'Of expenditure of the Department of Agriculture were under consideration In the House of Representatives today. Mr McCombs said the circulation of the journal was about 25,000 at present. It was the best possible value Sh farming journals he knew of. The Omount it would cost to send it free to every farmer in New Zealand would not be, considerable, and a large sum would be recoverable in advertising. ‘ Mr U S. S. Kyle (Opposition, Ricfcarton) said it would assist farming if £fae publication went into every farmtor’s home. It cost only 2s'6d a year.
