WRESTLING
♦ M’CREADY V. RAINES Earl McCready, the popular Canadian wrestler, has not only had to face strong challenges for his Empire title this season, but has also encountered particularly tough opposition, from the American wrestlers in New Zealand. Outstanding in the latter class is Dick Raines, the former cowpuncher from Texas, whom he is to meet in a return bout at the Theatre Royal on Wednesday. Raines’s quick win over McCready the last time they met in Christchurch was the biggest sensation in New Zealand wrestling for years.
