'J’RAIN ARRANGEMENTS: ON 29th JUNE a special fast horse train, with accommodation for pas- « sengers, will leave Christchurch at 1 6.35 a.m., Ashburton 9.5 a.m., arriving at Racecourse at 10.33 a.m. Will stop, if required, at Addington, Sockburn, Templeton, Rolleston, Burnham, Dunsandel, Rakaia, Chertsey, Ashburton, Hinds, Orari, and Temuka j to pick up passengers. Also conveys racehorses from Christchurch, Addington, Sockburn, Templeton, Rakaia. and Ashburton. Return train, making the same stops as the outward special to set down s and put off horses, and at Washdyke 1 to pick up passengers and lift horses, leaves Timaru 5.40 p.m., Washdyke 5.55 pan., and arrives Christchurch 9.23 p.m. (Connects at Washdyke with special trajn from the Racecourse.) The Christchurch-Invercargill and 1 Invercargill _ Christchurch express trains will stop at Washdyke to set down and pick up passengers respectively. Should the races be postponed the special trains will NOT run. FARES: Special cheap excursion tickets to Timaru Racecourse will be available by the special train and the 8.35 a.m. Christchurch-Invercargill express (stopping stations only), on 29th , June, available for return until Mon- J day, Ist July, 1940.
