PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with he RATING ACT, 1908, and THE LANDS DRAINAGE ACT,- 1908, and ill amendments thereto and in pursuince and exercise of the powers invested in it in that behalf by the L.OCAL BODIES LOANS ACT, 1926, :hat it is the intention of the above 3oard at its next meeting to be held it the Automobile Association (Can;crbury) Rooms, Worcester street, Christchurch, on Wednesday, the 3rd IULY, 1940, to make and levy a special Rate of 44/125ths of a penny in the £ on the Rateable Value on the oasis of the Capital Value on all Land Classified as Class A, and 12/125ths of a penny in the £ on the Rateable Value on the basis of the Capital Value on all Land Classified as Class B in the Special Rating Area, known as the “Motukarara Subdivision” being part of the Board’s District. Such Rates to be on the Capital Value for the year ending the 31st March, 1941, and to become due and payable in one sum at the Board’s Office, Lincoln road, Tai Tapu, on Wednesday, the 7th day of August, 1940, where the Valuation Roll, Rate Book and Classification List are open for inspection during Office Hours.
