Invercargill, and intermediate offices (expresses), dally, 7.30 a.m.; mall van. 8.35 a.m,; Wednesday and Friday 11.10 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.40 a.m.: guard’s van 12.25 p.m. To-day (Friday), April 29 For North Island, at 5.25 p.m.; late fee letters. 5.55 p.m.: guard's van, 7.10 p.m. train. Parcels, 4.30 p.m. Outgoing Overseas Mails Mails for Australia and countries via Australia will close at 4 p.m. Friday. April 26. Mails for other countries will be closed and forwarded as opportunity offers. Air-Mail Services Trans-Tasman weekly air-mail service: Mail closes this office midnight, Friday, April 26. Rates: Australia, 5d each Joz; British countries served by Empire air mails, Egypt, and Iraq, Is 6d each Joz; foreign countries, existing rates plus 6d each Joz, Air mails within New Zealand close at the Chief Post Office, Christchurch:— North-bound: Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, 9 a.m. South-bound: Monday.
