HOURS CHANGED IN CIVIL SERVICE
OFFICES TO CLOSE AND OPEN LATER (PEESS ASSOCIATION TELZGEA3I.) WELLINGTON, April 23.’• As from May 1, working hours in the Civil Service will be from 8.25 amto 12.30 p.m. and 1.30 p.m. to 5 pjn., replacing the present schedule of 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4.35 P-®. It is explained in official quarters that the new hours will be of particular advantage in the South Island and « is felt that they will be more accept* able to the business and commercial community generally.
