A decision to approach the Minister i for Internal Affairs, the Hon, W. b. Parry, to enlist his support for a scheme to interest country school children in the extermination Of vermin, was reached at a meeting of the council of the Auckland Acclimatisation Society. The decision was made as a corollary to the printing of a number of illustrated leaflets for distribution among the agents of the society and its sub-societies. It was considered that through the Minister’s influence it might be possible to have the leaflet published in the school journal
