GERMANS FORCED BACK '• AFTER CLASHES (raiTED paeas issociatton— copyright.) (Received April 22, 2 a.m.) LONDON, April 21. British troops are now fighting in eastern Norway, according to a Norwegian communique. The communique adds: "The Norwegian troops are taking up new * positions and maintaining contact with the enemy. German tanks were destroyed at Rands fjord. The Germans bombed Rena and Osen. Fifty Germans landing by parachutes were captured near Domaas." British troops are reported to have landed at Laerdal, which, is important strategically, as it controls the roads to Fagernaes, the terminus of the railway from Oslo, and to the Oslo-Bergen railway. Norwegian and Allied forces are ringing Trondheim and are advancing satisfactorily, after clashes with the Germans, towards Aasene, where the Germans are in strong positions. , They are also fighting the invaders at Orkedalsoeren. The fortress of Hegre still holds out. Air activity here is very lively.
