ENLISTING ] The Canterbury University College ( Law Students’ Society, a number, of i whose members, the secre- : tary and a member of the committee, ; have enlisted for service in the 2nd i New Zealand Expeditionary Force, held ' a reception on Saturday afternoon for ■ those members who will leave with the 2nd and; 3rd Echelons. Those present were:—Lieutenant G. C. Weston, Second-Lieutenant P. T. Norris, Sergeant W. K. L. Dougall. Lance-Corporal J. W. Rolleston, and Lance-Corporal M. P. Heehan. Also included were representatives of both the university and the legal profession. Mr A. E. Flower, chairman of the Canterbury University College Council, referred to the magnificent record of the university in the last war and wished the guests of honour the best of luck. The president of the Law Students’ Society (Mr G. C. C. Sandston) congratulated the men and bade farewell on behalf of the society. A presentation was made to each of the guests from the society.
