FAREWELL TO 2ND ECHELON
PARADES IN MAIN CITIES ARRANGEMENTS IN HAND Arrangements are now being made by the military authorities for parades of men of the 2nd Echelon, in the three principal cities of the South Island —Christchurch, Dunedin, and Invercargill. This will give citizens of an three cities full opportunity to say farewell to the soldiers from the respective centres. The unit parading at Invercargill will include only Southland men and soldiers from that military district and the same will apply to the Dunedin unit, only men from the Otago area parading there. But it is expected that the final parade at Christchurch will be along the same lines as the parade of the Ist Echelon, when those men —all the Ist Echelon soldiers in camp at Burnham at the time—paraded in Latimer square.
