CONCLUSION OF EASTER TOURNAMENT The final event of the Christchurch Golf Club’s Easter tournament, the mixed foursome for the Islington Cup, was held at Shirley on Saturday, and was won by L. J. At the conclusion of play the tournament prizes were presented by the president’s wife, Lady Ward. After the presentation of prizes the donor of the Woodward Cup (Mr L. A. Woodward) presented the trophy to the Christchurch Club’s team. This cup, which is for inter-club competition among the clubs in the neighbourhood of the city, was won by Christchurch last season. Millard, with a net score of 123. J PLEASANT POINT CLUB The twentieth annual meeting of the Pleasant Point Golf Club was held on Saturday. Mr R. E. White was in the chair. Mr White said that the last year was one of the most successful the club had enjoyed. The membership had been very good and a lot of money had been spent on the course in improvements and repairs, a big proportion of which would be non-recurring, and yet the club had finished with a good credit balance.
