HISTORY OP BANK OF NEW SOUTH WALES Interesting phases of trade and financial relations between New South Wales and New Zealand from early days last century to the present time are dealt with in "Pioneering New Zealand,” the sto”y of the Bank of New South Wales in this Dominion, which has just been issued by the bank’s Wellington branch. The growth ol commercial ties, the formation of the bank in Australia in 1817 and in New Zealand in 1861, and developments through land settlement and gold-rush periods and through the war and postwar periods are interestingly recorded, Plates showing early settlements in New Zealand and early and modern bank buildings and agencies are alsc included in the 30-page issue.
